When you connect your Google account to RankMyGMB, we collect only the information necessary to provide you with a fully functional Google Business Profile management experience. The data we collect includes:

• Google Account Information: Your basic profile details such as your name and email address, used to identify and authenticate your account on our platform.
• Google Business Profile Data: Business name, address, phone number, website URL, business category, and operating hours associated with your connected Google Business Profile.
• Business Content: Posts, photos, offers, and events published on your Google Business Profile.
• Customer Reviews: Reviews and ratings left by customers on your Google Business Profile, along with your responses.
• Location Data: If you manage multiple business locations, we collect data for all profiles you have authorized us to access.

We collect only what is required to deliver our services. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as payment details, government IDs, or private communications.

2. How We Use Your Information

All information collected through RankMyGMB is used strictly to provide, improve, and support our platform services. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Display your Google Business Profile data within the RankMyGMB dashboard in a clear and organized manner.
• Allow you to update business information such as name, address, hours, and contact details directly from our platform.
• Enable you to create, schedule, and manage Google Business Profile posts, offers, and updates.
• Facilitate review management by displaying customer reviews and allowing you to draft and submit responses.
• Provide insights and performance metrics related to your Google Business Profile activity.
• Send important notifications related to your account, such as login alerts or service updates.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the core functionality of RankMyGMB.

3. Google API Services

RankMyGMB is built on top of Google APIs and integrates directly with the Google Business Profile API to provide our services. Our use of Google API data strictly adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This means:

• We only request access to the Google data that is necessary to provide the features you use.
• We do not store, sell, transfer, or share Google user data with any third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
• We do not use Google user data to build user profiles or target users with advertisements.
• All use of data obtained through Google APIs is limited to providing and improving the RankMyGMB service.

4. Data Storage & Security

The security of your data is a top priority for us. We implement industry-standard practices and technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse:

• Access Tokens: Your Google OAuth access tokens are encrypted and stored securely. They are used solely to perform actions you explicitly authorize within RankMyGMB.
• Encrypted Connections: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Access Controls: Only authorized RankMyGMB systems and personnel have access to backend data, strictly on a need-to-know basis.
• Regular Audits: We conduct regular reviews of our security practices to ensure continued compliance with data protection standards.

While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your data, no system is entirely immune to security risks. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your Google account credentials secure.

5. Data Sharing

RankMyGMB does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal or business data with any external parties for commercial purposes. Your data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Google APIs: Data is exchanged with Google solely to provide Google Business Profile functionality as authorized by you.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation.
• Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting) who are contractually bound to keep your data confidential and use it only to support our services.

In all cases, we ensure that your data is handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.

6. User Control & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data and your connection to RankMyGMB at any time:

• Revoke Google Access: You can disconnect RankMyGMB from your Google account at any time through your Google Account Permissions page. This will immediately stop our access to your Google Business Profile data.
• Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your RankMyGMB account and all associated data by contacting our support team. We will process your request within 7 business days.
• Data Access: You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time by reaching out to us via email.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

For significant changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
